Restore first, buy second. The restore option on the checkout screen re-checks your purchase with Apple or Google and is the fix for most of these cases.
What each message means
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| Purchases Restored | Found and re-applied. “Your purchases have been successfully restored.” |
| No Active Purchases | The store found purchases, but none currently active. A lapsed or cancelled subscription gives this |
| No Purchases Found | The store has no record of a purchase for this store account |
| Restore Failed | The check itself failed, usually a connection problem. Worth retrying |
| Purchase Error | The purchase did not validate: “Invalid purchase. Please try again.” |
The usual causes
The wrong store account. Purchases belong to the Apple ID or Google account that paid, not to your PlusEV account. A second Apple ID on the same phone is the most common reason for “No Purchases Found”.
The wrong platform. An App Store purchase cannot be restored on Android, and the reverse is also true. This includes lifetime purchases.
A subscription that already lapsed. Cancelling stops renewals at the end of the billing cycle, so a subscription cancelled last month shows as “No Active Purchases” now.
The order to check
- Restore Purchases on the checkout screen.
- Confirm the store account. iOS: Settings → your name → Media & Purchases. Android: the account shown in the Play Store.
- Check the subscription in the store itself. iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Android: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions. This tells you whether the subscription is live, independently of the app.
- Sign in to your PlusEV account if you have not, so entitlements follow the account rather than the device.
If the store shows an active subscription and the app still does not, that is a real bug. Send the store’s receipt and the email on your PlusEV account to [email protected].
